F.A.Q. | House of Lier
F.A.Q.

The short answers.

A few of the questions we hear most often from event producers, conference chairs, and the executives shaping their internal platforms.

Start by sending us a few details about your event, the audience, the date, the budget range, and any speakers who already caught your eye. The fastest path is the Contact form, or you can reach us directly at hello@houseoflier.com.

We respond within one business day with availability, fees, and the speaker fit we’d recommend for the room you’re building.

Fees vary by speaker, format, location, and date. Most of our keynote engagements fall between $15,000 and $100,000+, with some speakers offering virtual rates that are lower.

If you’re still building your budget, tell us what you’re working with and we’ll let you know who fits cleanly inside it, without wasting your time on the ones who don’t.

Yes, and most of our speakers prefer it. Every keynote we represent is built on a substantive framework, but the audience examples, industry language, and case studies are tailored to your room.

Expect a pre-event briefing call between you (or the program lead) and the speaker to align on theme, tone, and what should happen after the keynote ends.

Most do. We represent speakers who’ve delivered for fully-virtual conferences, hybrid summits, and broadcast-style events. Tech requirements and rates vary by speaker, we’ll share both as part of the proposal.

For named speakers, six to twelve months out is typical. For higher-tier keynotes (large conferences, signature events), nine to eighteen months is wise.

That said, if your event is in the next 90 days and you’re looking for the right voice, reach out anyway. We work fast and our speakers sometimes have availability that hasn’t made it onto a public calendar.

The stage is the starting point, not the destination. We structure engagements that continue beyond the keynote: executive dialogue sessions, internal workshops, advisory work, follow-on materials, and integration with your existing leadership programming.

We call this from voice to velocity, and it’s a core part of what House of Lier stands for. We’re happy to design the after-the-stage component into your engagement during the contract phase.

Yes. Travel, accommodations, AV requirements, green-room needs, transportation, and on-site coordination are all part of the standard engagement. We work directly with your event team (or your agency) so your speaker arrives prepared and your team has one point of contact, us.

Absolutely, that’s the most useful conversation we have. Share the audience, the moment you’re trying to create, and any constraints (budget, date, theme), and we’ll recommend two or three speakers we believe would land the room.

We’d rather walk away from a booking than recommend a fit we don’t believe in.

We’re a boutique agency by design. The roster on this site is who we actively represent and recommend. If a request comes in for a speaker outside our roster, we’ll either refer you to the right agency or suggest someone on our list who fits even better.

Email us at hello@houseoflier.com with a short note about who you are, what you speak on, and what kind of platform you’re trying to build. We’re selective about who we add, but we read every inquiry personally.
